What This Service Does

This service checks a cosmetic label and its marketed claims for a defined product and target market. The output separates confirmed issues, questions that need product evidence and market-specific revision actions.

Review Scope

  • Product identity, intended use and cosmetic-versus-drug boundary.
  • Principal display and information panels.
  • Responsible business or responsible-person details.
  • Net contents, origin, durability, batch and warning statements where applicable.
  • Ingredient declaration and market-specific naming or language needs.
  • Claims, directions and supporting evidence supplied by the client.
  • Artwork consistency across container, packaging and inserts.

Market Boundaries

EU cosmetic labels are governed by Article 19 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and related product-specific requirements. [20]

FDA labeling material must be read with the FD&C Act and Fair Packaging and Labeling Act for the actual U.S. product and claims. [15]

Great Britain and Canada have their own official labeling frameworks; an EU or U.S. review is not automatically reusable in either market. [UK-COSMETICS-GUIDE][CA-COSMETICS-LABEL]
